A seizure is a sudden and uncontrollable electrical disturbance in the brain. A seizure may cause a variety of symptoms, depending on its type and the part of the brain affected. In some cases, people experience an aura prior to having a seizure. An aura before a seizure is a warning sign that a seizure is about to occur. It is a subjective experience that can vary from person to person and from seizure to seizure.
